In response, KRA has suspended the licenses of 21 clearing agents pending investigations and interdicted 6 staff members for violating customs procedures. The crackdown has triggered wider criminal investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), targeting clearing agents, importers, and other parties involved. Additional audits are ongoing to recover any further lost revenue.
